WORDS AND VERSES – poetry and literature workshop

Without words there is no thought.

Our thoughts are made of words. Without words there is no articulated, complex and evolved thought. Without words, the basic elements to form an argument are missing.
Our poetry and literature workshop has been built precisely because it is very important to know how to think in and use a language well, to learn many words and form a good vocabulary.
With the help of writers, actors, connoisseurs and lovers of poems and novels, we will be able to expand the knowledge of Italian narrative, literature and poetry, to curate pronunciation and expression in reading, dreaming and enjoying the beauty of words, listening to warm, narrative voices and discovering the meaning of unknown words.

In fact, literature is taught because it represents a linguistic enrichment; It is an expression of the historical period in which it was produced and is therefore cultural enrichment; it is a very useful tool for exercising and refining critical skills; it is a source of pleasure, therefore an important contribution to both cognitive and aesthetic formation; it is a source of evasion and therefore a means of psychological well -being.

It will certainly be an interesting path and we can choose the authors to read together.

This workshop is more suitable for people at level B2, C1 and C2 of the Italian language.

The groups will have a minimum of four to a maximum of six students.

Each lesson will last one and a half hours.

The course will be monthly and organised for the different levels of knowledge of the Italian language.

The workshops can be organised in person, in Sheffield, or followed online from the comfort of your home.
